The result of extensive research by PelGar, Brigand Blocks brings to the market a highly palatable formulation suitable for use in all climatic conditions. Brigand Blocks is ready for use and
formulated using high quality culinary grade wheat flour, blended with chopped wheat, other cereals and proteins which are bound together by edible waxes. The addition of other food grade materials improves palatability compared to other block baits ensuring excellent bait ‘take’.

PelGar’s process of hot casting encases the blocks in wax giving considerably more protection from the elements when compared to extruded blocks. The incorporation of bio-stats inhibits the growth of both fungi and bacteria should the block be exposed to damp/sewer conditions.

Brigand Blocks is an octagonal 10g block with a central hole for securing.

Brigand Pasta Bait is ready for use and formulated using a blend of high quality culinary grade wheat flour, chopped grain, soft lard and synthetic peanut flavoring to produce a high calorie, high energy feed.

The use of synthetic peanut flavorings allows the product to be used in sensitive situations where products containing nuts would not be authorized for use.

Taste adjuvants and flavours help to improve bait take and stabilizing agents prevent oxidation.

In Megalon® Pasta bromadiolone is formulated as pasta baits of approximately 20 grams each, obtained by mixing food grade ingredients such as: flour, sugars, vegetable fats, proteins and preservatives. The baits contain denatonium benzoate, which makes them extremely bitter hence discouraging ingestion by children and pets.

The specific characteristic of denatonium benzoate is that it is not detected by the palate of rodents at concentrations like the one in Megalon® Pasta. Pasta baits are characterized by exceptional palatability and energetic value. Therefore, it is recommended to control rodents in different environments, even in the presence of highly competitive food sources.

Megalon® Pasta is accepted and consumed by all infesting rodents: rattus norvegicus, rattus rattus, mus musculus.

Bromadiolone belongs to second generation indirect anticoagulants and is marked by high toxicity for rodents, similarly to Brodifacoum. Its toxicity is effective irrespective of the duration of the bait consumption. According to literature, between 90% and 100% of rats fed for 1, 2 or 4 days with baits containing 0.005% Bromadiolone die. Moreover, they die irrespective of the amount of bromadiolone ingested.

One more peculiarity of bromadiolone is that it is normally well accepted by rodents’ palate. In a few bait types it is the best accepted rodenticidal ingredient.

In Megalon® Paraffinato Bromadiolone is contained in a bait consisting of a balanced mix of edibles substances and food-grade paraffin. This gives the bait remarkable resistance to humidity and temporary contact with water. Megalon Paraffinato, therefore, is suitable to be used in sites where traditional baits can develop mold and lose quickly their palatability (such as: cellars, frequently washed premises, outdoor areas, septic tanks, sewage channels etc.).

The baits contain denatonium benzoate, which makes them extremely bitter hence discouraging ingestion by children and pets. The specific characteristic of denatonium benzoate is that it is not detected by the palate of rodents at concentrations like the one in Megalon® Paraffinato.
